About the event

This series of small group supervision sessions (online and in-person options available) are for anyone wanting to move towards more affirming practice with their clients - specifically for those of us who are new to the journey.

We believe that being affirming isn't a destination but a process. And that taking part in supervision for specific clients or clinical questions is a fantastic way to explore our own beliefs and develop skills that create more connection and safety in therapy for neurodivergent clients.

Your facilitator, Cherie Harris, is an ADHDer, psychologist, trauma therapist and board approved supervisor. She is the Clinical Supervisor of our team and has been instrumental in our journey towards providing neurodiversity affirming client care and a neurodiversity affirming environment for our clients and team members.

Groups have a closed membership with a maximum of 5 participants and will run for three weeks. The in-person group will be held on Monday afternoons, 3.30-5.00pm from 19th September to 10th October (with a break for the public holiday on 26th September).

Please note, an online group is also being held on Thursday mornings, 10.30am-12.00pm from the 15th to 29th September for those interstate or who prefer online attendance.

The three sessions will include an overview of important concepts, language and the philosophy of neuroaffirming care, including the social justice aspects of working in this way. Each participant will be invited to share one clinical case or dilemma with time for Q and A. The prerequisites are: curiosity, commitment to growth, and willingness to self-reflect. Registrations are open via our website but please note, spaces are limited and registrations will close on 5th August.
